How ranking works
CRank Holistic
This algorithm places a much higher weight on Compensation, Vesting Schedule, Interview Difficulty / Probability of Hire, and Lifecycle and Financials score types, with slightly higher weights on Leadership, Culture, and Layoffs. This algorithm is intended to provide the best overall experience for individuals looking for great pay at a company that is well-run and where you have a reasonable chance of getting through the interview process.
Weights are as follows:
- Compensation: 4.0
- Vesting Schedule: 3.0
- Interview Difficulty / Probability of Hire: 3.0
- Lifecycle and Financials: 2.0
- Layoffs: 1.5
- Culture: 1.5
- Leadership: 1.5
Other score types retain the default weight of 1.
- Company score
- The preset-weighted average of the rating dimensions. It is the same for everyone.
- Fit
- Shown only on job rows in Job Search matches. Computed from your saved priorities and never mixed into any company rating.
- Priorities met
- Shown in a company's view on this page and on company rows in Job Search matches. How many of your priorities that a fact about the company can decide are confirmed for you. Unknown rows, and rows whose fact covers only part of the company, count as not met; priorities checked for each job are not counted.
- Requirement coverage
- Shown in a company's view on this page and in Job Search matches. The share of your requirements that could be decided either way. It does not mean the facts behind them are verified.
- Requirement chips
- Shown only in Job Search matches. Each chip starts with how the requirement came out:
- Match: The requirement is met.
- Mismatch: The requirement is not met.
- Unknown: The requirement could not be decided either way, so it does not count toward requirement coverage.
- No qualifier: A match or mismatch with no qualifier was decided from the job listing itself.
- Rating coverage
- How many of the active rating dimensions have at least one score for the company, shown as "N of M". A dimension with no score counts as missing, never as zero.
- Fact coverage
- How many of the 7 tracked facts (RTO policy, funding round, public status, accelerated vesting, locations, company name and company domain) have accepted evidence.
- Freshness
- "Last verified" is the most recent date a source was re-checked and still supported an accepted fact. Editing the company record does not re-verify facts. Each fact has its own re-check window:
- RTO policy: 90 days
- Funding round, public status and locations: 180 days
- Accelerated vesting, company name and company domain: 365 days
- Evidence status
-
- Verified: Accepted and re-checked within its freshness window.
- Stale: Accepted, but not re-verified within its freshness window.
- Unknown: No accepted evidence for this fact.
- Profile data: Curated profile value without field-level evidence.
- Pending review: An observation is waiting for review. Not verified.
- Conflicting observation: A later observation disagrees. Not verified.
- Sourced, not confirmed: Shown only in Job Search matches. An accepted, current source backs this without stating it outright: matching read it from the wording of the source or inferred it (for example, a day count from "Hybrid"), or the source covers only some locations or roles. Not confirmed.
- Evidence changed: Shown only in Job Search matches. The fact behind this result was replaced or removed after matches were computed. Refresh matches to re-check it.
